"my experience at the marathon de montréal 2011"

That it was a huge experience! The best event for me during my 4 months stay at the Dianova’s Terrebonne center!

Patrick, a clinical counsellor had told us about the 2011 10km marathon and he invited the residents to take part in the event. I decided to participate because I needed to prove myself that I was able to do it, and second because I wanted to friendly challenge Patrick. About 2 months before the marathon, 4 of us started training around the center and in the gym until the final day came up.
I had never seen so many people at the same place before. 30 000 persons answer the call for the 2011 Marathon de Montréal. I have to say that I found it difficult because I never had to run a 10km race before, but the continued support that I had from Patrick, Martin and Jacques gave me the strength and the courage to go further in this challenge. We all made it across the finish line!

I now have a medal from this huge challenge that I can proudly show to my family and which makes me remember that when I put my best and continued efforts in a project, I will always be proud of the result, no matter what the result is.

Thank you Patrick, Martin and Jacques for this opportunity to prove myself that when I want to, I can do it. Most of all, thanks to Dianova and to the staff for everything.
