A Word from the Director

a human network of support

September 2006 - Editorial, by Bruno Ferrari, Executive Director

bruno ferrari Last 16 th of September, was held the 2006 Dianova Human Chain. This event put a conclusion to some very interesting activities that took place in the course of the spring and summer period. We are now ready for a fall season with some major changes for Dianova.

A brief summary of all these events is available in our Publications section under “News letter”. Here are some short cuts to access these information’s:

- Our 2005 annual report, approved on April the 27 th by the annual general assembly speaks about good and bad news; good news in regards to projects implemented and less good news as to the financial point of view.

- The 2006 year has seen an active participation into its programs (refer to the «Breakaway Program» - which is going like clockwork) and our annual charity sale that became a major event in the region saw many voluntary workers working joining the residents of the center.

The challenge for now is our 2006 « Human Chain », a special edition where we will benefit from last years experiences. I, so, invite you to our rendez-vous scheduled on September 16, from 1 p.m. at the Old Port of Montreal. Have a look to our official statement and give us a call to confirm your presence or to tell us that you will help recruit voluntary workers!!

And finally, with the fall season, the time will come to move to the new Dianova center in Terrebonne where our new structures will facilitate partnerships with the other organizations in the greater Montreal . You are cordially invited to pay us a visit or to take part to the set up of one of the event one way or another.

Hope to see you soon!!
Bruno
